Anthony C. Pappas, DMD

Dr. Pappas is a graduate of the Boston University Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry (1975) where he completed post-graduate training and received his certificate in Periodontics in 1978. He received the Senior Dental Award from the American Academy of Oral Pathology in 1975. Dr. Pappas spent one year in a General Practice Residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. He is an active member in the American Academy of Periodontology and also the American Dental Association. His special interests include oral pathology, bone grafting and implantology. Dr. Pappas has been in private practice since 1978. Dr. Pappas is an avid sports fan and enjoys golf and spending time with his wife and two sons.

Robert B. Walsh, DDS

Following undergraduate studies at Boston College where he received a BS in Biology, Dr. Walsh attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry and completed his DDS degree in 1986. Upon graduation, Dr. Walsh entered the United States Navy serving as a general dental officer. In 1995, Dr. Walsh completed a residency at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School in Bethesda, MD where he received his certificate in Periodontics. He has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology since 1998 and his clinical interests include implantology and periodontal regenerative therapies.

Vazquez-Ortiz
Dr. Yaritza Vazquez-Ortiz, DMD

Dr. Vazquez-Ortiz was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She pursued her D.M.D. at the University of Puerto Rico where she graduated with honors in 2005. As part of her dental training she participated in different research projects in conjunction with Boston University in 2002.

After obtaining her dental degree, Dr. Vazquez-Ortiz relocated to Massachusetts to continue with her post-doctorate studies. She obtained a certificate in advanced graduate studies in General Practice Residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2006 where she concentrated her training in special needs and medically compromised patients. In June 2009 she completed her periodontology specialty training at Boston University, in addition to her Masters Degree in Oral Biology, which was focused in inflammatory processes. During her periodontology residency she refined her skills in periodontal procedures including esthetic and implant procedures.

Dr. Vazquez-Ortiz is an active member of The American Academy of Periodontology, American Dental Association, Massachusetts Hispanic Dental Association, International Association of Dental Research, and Golden Key Honor Society, among others. She is working towards becoming board certified by the American Academy of Periodontology.
